About
Hello and welcome to the Tasty Content blog!
My name is Cathy and I hark from Sydney, Australia. I have a background in IT and research project management and policy development. I’ve spent the past couple of years working as a web development consultant working a variety of sites from small business to advising on multinational projects. But that’s all the boring stuff…
I decided in 2010 to make the leap and focus solely on my own creative projects. I recently finished my first book Thesis Blueprints which steps people through how to customise the awesome Thesis theme (I used a selection of the tutorials to create the current Tasty Content blog design in about a few hours tops). I realised I had made the right decision because even though there were frustrating moments, I found that I loved the whole creative process so much.
I have a lot more more books planned for 2011 through Tasty Press – not just web development books too! I’m a constant life hacker and a strong believer in the importance of work/life balance so expect to books across a range of useful subjects.
While one of my main goals this year has been to focus on creating my own books and products, I’m also really passionate about encouraging others to find their inner muse. I’m hoping that this blog will help to do that by providing tips and thoughts on the creative process, independent publishing and the tools I’ve found useful.
Thanks for dropping by,
Cathy
